Jackson and his new bed

For the past couple of months Jackson has been sleeping in his pack and play because he really didn't like his crib. He would get up and scream in the middle of the night. Therefore, Mike and I decided to let him sleep in his pack and play because he would sleep all night and not wake up. This past weekend, we decided to put Jackson in his toddler bed because he is getting older and the pack and play was getting a little cramped.

Jackson and Brooke with Baby Makenzie

I had the opportunity to watch Brooke and Makenzie on Saturday night. It was a lot of fun and I have to admit, I can't wait till we have another little baby in the house. Makenzie smelled so good and was so adorable and content being held. I think Jackson is about ready for a little brother or sister. I still had to remind him to be gentle and as you can see Brooke loves to be snug as a bug with little Makenzie :)

Happy Labor Day!

We went to an early picnic today and Jackson hung out and lasted without a nap. He crashed as soon as we got in the car. After he woke up from his nap, I caught him grilling buns. He has seen daddy grill but today he saw our friend, Jason, grilling buns. It was so cute because Jackson actually used a wooden spoon as a spatula to try to get the buns off the grill and kept saying hot, hot.

Jackson and his encounter with a bird

We have been taking care of our friends animals for the past two weeks. Jackson loves to go see the dogs, the bunnies, the turtle, the bird and the fish :) It is like going to the farm or zoo :) OC, the bird, loves to sit on your shoulders and Jackson wanted to try in on the fun. However, he didn't like it too much as soon as I started to video it :( Thank goodness I at least got a good picture before I videoed.

Jackson and his boo

Jackson has started to request ice whenever he hurts himself. He refers to his booboo as an "ouchy" or a "boo". Here is a short video of him putting the turtle ice pack on his "ouchy".

Jackson and Mike's first project together!

Jackson helped daddy with the painting.

Jackson's favorite snack, yummy homemade banana bread

Jackson loves to help mommy bake in the kitchen.

Stirring the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.

I then pour the mixture into this pretty cool tin that you can make cakes into trees and gingerbread men. However, the size is perfect for little Jackson so we use the tin all through out the year, instead of just at Christmas and we call them little boys and go green trees :)

Jackson and the papaya

We had gotten some papayas from our day care provider. Jackson had watched Mike cut it in half and scoop out the seeds the previous day. Therefore, Jackson wanted to do it himself the next morning :)

The curls are gone!

It was very hard to do this but we had too... I just love Jackson's hair and can only imagine if I had a little girl what her hair would look like. Jackson's curls went bye bye this past Sunday. It was beginning to be so long in front and when it was wet was past his eyes. When he would nap in the carseat and in bed it was beginning to be ratty. I loved his hair and random strangers would come up to me and say he was so cute with his curls. I just hope they grow back quickly and blonde :)

Jackson would not sit in the cute little cars this time. I actually had to hold him while he got his haircut. Thank goodness, the stylist had patience. Therefore there wasn't time to get a good cute shot of him.

After, I will try to get a better picture.

Just another day at the Honolulu Zoo

Jackson loves to go to the zoo! His favorite item to look at is the turtles. He is pretty good at saying turtle too. We have had to take his jogging stroller with us now because he is unable to undo the buckle. I dislike lugging this huge stroller around in my car but Jackson would just jump out of his other umbrella stroller because he figured out how to undo the buckle.

At the petting zoo, petting a little goat. These goats are wonderful, we have been here 4 or 5 times and they let the children touch and pet them and never get upset!

Accidents Happen!

Jackson has been having some accidents lately because he is becoming Mr. Independent! However, he goes and gets the broom and dustpan to clean up the mess. I love that he wants to help me clean and is learning how to fix his messes :)

Jackson and Brooke are 2

Monica and I decided to have Jackson and Brooke's birthday party together at the pool. The children had a fabulous time playing around in the water.Jackson taking Brooke for a ride.

A family shot and then a Weida and Staffaroni picture. Who would have thought Monica and I would be in Hawaii celebrating our kids birthdays.

Jackson loves sweets!
