Today we went to Abby and Gavin's birthday party. Jackson and the kids had a blast. Here is a video of his adventure. We were so surprised he did it. I think he was in a little of shock and don't worry he wasn't hurt when he landed.

Santa came to Barber's Point Elementary
I love when my school has Breakfast with Santa. We didn't have it last year but I did take Jackson when he was 5 months. He didn't seem to mind Santa when he was little... Mike and I thought we were doing a good job teaching him about Santa and had him ready for the big event... However, Jackson didn't really want to be near him at all. Of course, because I had coordinated our outfits, I was definitely going to make sure we got a picture. A better picture will be coming soon but here is what I have now.
Monica, Brooke wasn't too happy, and Makenzie and Grandma
The kids making tissue paper wreaths. Jackson loved playing with glue.
A picture of the final product below. Looks pretty good for a 2.5 year old :0) If you look in the flowers you will see the newest addition to our family. We have an elf from the North Pole visiting us till Christmas. His job is to make sure you are good and not naughty. Jackson named him Elfie and likes to look for him throughout the day. Elfie has picked a good hiding spot this week because Jackson hasn't found him yet... There are two rules for the magic Elfie brings to continue, you must never touch or talk to Elfie or he will leave and report to Santa that you have been naughty. Jackson doesn't quite get the concept yet but it is fun to see his reactions to Elfie each day :) Below is a video of Jackson and Brooke working on their wreaths.

Jackson's first trip to the Dentist

It was finally time to take Jackson to the dentist. We took him to the dentist that Mike goes to because they will take children. My dentist actually refers children under five to another establishment. As you can see Jackson wasn't too happy. Only one adult was allowed in the room so Mike took him and negotiated with Jackson. If he stopped crying and allowed the dentist to look in his mouth he would let him get a treat at Malama Market. Malama Market is right next to the dentist office. Jackson approved and allowed the dentist to count his teeth and check the spacing, etc. All is good with Jackson's teeth and he has his next appointment in June. After the dentist, Jackson and Mike went to Malama Market and got a Slushee and an orange :)

A little swimming with Brooke
I asked Monica if I could watch Brooke and Makenzie on Veteran's Day and in return if she would watch Jackson on our Furlough Friday in December. She agreed and we had a great time. Makenzie is such a chill baby and never really cries unless she wants a new scenery or to be fed or a minute before she falls asleep. I was in heaven, Jackson never was a chill baby. With such an easy baby and a playmate to play with, Brooke and Jackson were able to entertain themselves. I realized I only took photos of their adventure in the pool with the slide, however we did make some yummy banana bread too. It wasn't too bad since I doubled the recipe and each toddler could put in each ingredient :)

Halloween Party 2010
This Halloween, Mike and I decided to have the family dress up as Vampires. We went to a Halloween party at Jaimi's house and were able to get a preview of what Halloween will look like tonight :0) We weren't sure if Jackson would dress up so we had a back up costume of a turtle just in case he wasn't into the Vampire. Jackson was so good! He even let us do his hair by putting gel in it and adding some cornstarch.
Carving Pumpkins
I don't know when the last time Mike and I carved a pumpkin, I believe it was in our childhood sometime :) This year we decided to let Jackson in on some of the fun but he was pretty much done after 10 minutes. We did however make use of the seeds and made some pretty good pumpkin seeds. I mixed 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkled sea salt on them, baked at 400 for 13 minutes on each side and the pumpkin seeds turned out pretty good :) Check out the videos of Jackson's reaction to his daddy and getting the pumpkin ready for carving...

Time to pick some pumpkins!!!
We went to Aloun Farms to buy some pumpkins this past weekend.

Brian and all the kids hanging out in the dirt with our pumpkins. The kids loved filling the wagon with the small pumpkins.
I think the kids favorite thing to do was pick corn.
They had so much fun running around in the cornfield.
I had to take about 25 pictures to get these cute smiles on camera.
Taking pictures of toddlers is hard work!!
The above picture is this year and the below picture is last year.

Jackson and his new bed
For the past couple of months Jackson has been sleeping in his pack and play because he really didn't like his crib. He would get up and scream in the middle of the night. Therefore, Mike and I decided to let him sleep in his pack and play because he would sleep all night and not wake up. This past weekend, we decided to put Jackson in his toddler bed because he is getting older and the pack and play was getting a little cramped.

Jackson and Brooke with Baby Makenzie
I had the opportunity to watch Brooke and Makenzie on Saturday night. It was a lot of fun and I have to admit, I can't wait till we have another little baby in the house. Makenzie smelled so good and was so adorable and content being held. I think Jackson is about ready for a little brother or sister. I still had to remind him to be gentle and as you can see Brooke loves to be snug as a bug with little Makenzie :)

Happy Labor Day!
We went to an early picnic today and Jackson hung out and lasted without a nap. He crashed as soon as we got in the car. After he woke up from his nap, I caught him grilling buns. He has seen daddy grill but today he saw our friend, Jason, grilling buns. It was so cute because Jackson actually used a wooden spoon as a spatula to try to get the buns off the grill and kept saying hot, hot.
Jackson and his encounter with a bird
We have been taking care of our friends animals for the past two weeks. Jackson loves to go see the dogs, the bunnies, the turtle, the bird and the fish :) It is like going to the farm or zoo :) OC, the bird, loves to sit on your shoulders and Jackson wanted to try in on the fun. However, he didn't like it too much as soon as I started to video it :( Thank goodness I at least got a good picture before I videoed.
Jackson and his boo
Jackson has started to request ice whenever he hurts himself. He refers to his booboo as an "ouchy" or a "boo". Here is a short video of him putting the turtle ice pack on his "ouchy".
