Our family trip to Maui

Mike and I decided to take a trip to Maui before Christmas since we were not going to the mainland. We went for five wonderful days and had a great time. We even beat the rain that was on Oahu and made its appearance at night. Therefore, we were able to do a lot of sightseeing. Our first stop was the Surfing Goat Dairy.
Jackson petting the baby goats. These goats are 3 days old.
One even tried to tickle him in the belly looking for food. He loved it!
These two goats were just born when we arrived, one boy and one girl. The boy was a big one at 9lbs and his sister was only 6 pounds.
The big boy himself which they named him Rocky.

Maui Ocean Center

Our second day in Maui started with socks and flip flops. Lately, Jackson has taken on the local style of socks with slippers. When we were ready we decided to go to the Maui Ocean Center.
Jackson peering in at the fish.
If we would have let him he would have stayed here all day. For about an hour he enjoyed touching the starfish in this hands on pond.

Sunrise at Haleakala

Jackson is so happy even though it is 4:30 in the morning. We had to leave at 3:30 so we could get there before the sunrise. We are bundled up because it is such a high elevation.
Right before the sunrise you could see the moon and the sunrise effect. Truly amazing!!!
We are above the clouds, it is breathtaking!
The Staffaronis all bundled up. Jackson was more interested in finding out when he could have the snacks in the car.

Hiking at Haleakala

My favorite boys!
Family Shot above the clouds.
We are still bundled up because of how high we are.
Tuckered out because we left at 3:30 a.m. to go to Haleakala to see the sunrise.

More Maui Pics

Maui's Winery
The nice general store across the street that had awesome burgers.
Jackson's first sip of soda, all natural Root Beer, he loved it. It was the only way we could get him to eat lunch.
The Lavender farm was beautiful. I actually got some really good lavendar shampoo and conditioner.
Checking out the flowers.

Our last look at Maui

Kihei Beach
My little angel is getting so big.
I couldn't resist...
Jackson loves the ocean!
Off to the airport all by himself!
