Goodbye Makakilo! Goodbye Townhouse!

Our first home!

Well we did it, we were able to rent out our house, sell all of our furniture and move out in 3 weeks! We said goodbye to our first home :( sniff, sniff, sniff. I miss it so much. I miss the cool breezes, the quietness, the view of Diamond Head, and Jackson's room. I don't miss not having a garage, crazy lady next door, red dirt, and cleaning jalousie windows. So why did we do it!!! Mike and I agreed it was a good idea to rent out our house in August because only Jackson and I would be living there. It was a good way for us to save money to help us move things to Connecticut and help us to save some money for a down payment on our future house since we can't really sell this house yet due to the economy and falling market!!!!!! We were able to get wonderful rentors who have a little boy who loves the fish room. We are so lucky because they really are treating our house as if it was their own.

Living room, it only took us 4 years to get it right, haha

Goodbye little truck, we sold the truck because it just isn't a family car. You can only go so long having a carseat in a truck. Jackson was beginning to learn how to open the door as well. FYI there aren't any child locks in a 2004 Mazda truck. The truck was wonderful helping us through the past 7 years. From UH football games, camping, moving, renovating, craigslisting, and much, much, much, more!!!!

Sacramento Work Trip

In July, I went on a conference in Sacramento to learn about AVID in the elementary schools. It is a way to help get children organized and learn how to be a good student and prepare themselves for college. The conference was a week long and allowed Jackson and Daddy to have some special bonding time before he left for Connecticut.

Hanging out at Grandpa's

I love hanging out by the pool at my dad's house. As you can see Jackson loved it too!

Hanging out in the country!!

I just love hanging out at my mom's house. It is quiet, spacious, and so country :) Mike loves to read out on the porch, I like to cook in the kitchen and Jackson loves to be able to run!
Here are some pictures of the gorgeous flowers in my mom's yard. I was playing around with my fancy camera and love them!

New Canaan High School in Connecticut

As much as we would like to live very close to New Canaan. The price of houses are very expensive. So we will be living outside of New Canaan. The town is cute and very friendly.
The proud teacher sporting his New Canaan School ID just after he signed the contract! We were so excited because they took all of Mike's years in Hawaii!!

Staffaroni Barbeque

After we found out Mike got the job in Connecticut. We decided to have an impromptu BBQ. It was amazing that everyone could come and didn't have plans for a sunny day in the summer. We had a great time and Jackson loved hanging out with all of his cousins.

Kidcity Children's Museum

We spent the afternoon with Laura, Charlie and Louis playing around in an awesome museum in Middletown!!! Jackson had a blast hanging out with his cousin Louis. This museum is great and will definitely be the first thing we do with visitors who come to see us in Connecticut :)
