Birthday Party Fun

On Saturday we went to Edwin's ninth birthday party. Kristen and Jason moved here recently and have three children, Edwin (9), Olivia (6) and Logan (almost 2). Jackson had a blast in the bouncy house with all of his friends.Jackson was tired on the way to the party because he has been fighting his afternoon nap. This is how we arrived at the party. He has his leg up and hand out all comfortable.Jumping in the bouncy house playing ring around the rosie with Brooke and Makaela.
We all fall down!
I found it mommy!

Best buds walking back to Brooke's house. So adorable, I can't believe they are almost three!

A fun sleepover with Abby and Zack

Bath time is always an adventure when you have geckos to play with! Zack loved having this little gecko on his shoulder for about ten minutes.
Everyone wanted to be like Zack!
All clean and ready for bed!
Goodnight kisses!

Coconut Plantations Fabulous Pool

Today Jackson and I went to visit the Martins. They just moved to Ko'olina and invited us to come hang out by the pool. The pool is fabulous for toddlers because it is only a foot deep and has pebbles to play with. The kids had so much fun and enjoyed themselves.

After our day at the pool, Jackson and I walked down to Malama Market and I let him get out on the way back up the hill. Hoping he would tire himself out, because I sure do :) Just about a month ago, Jackson couldn't reach the handlebars so this is a big deal now that he can :)

Picnic dinner at Ko'olina

Today was a slow day in the Staffaroni house. Once our sleepover was over, I was a little tuckered out and decided to take it easy. Jackson played around the house while I took down the living room curtains and washed them. For all my friends that have the Pier 1 curtains, they say dry clean only but I washed them on the gentle cycle and they came out fabulous!! After the curtains were taken care of, I tackled the lovely jalousie windows. I will never buy another house with jalousies if possible. I hate them because they take so long to clean. However, now we have a really nice clean view of Diamond Head from the kitchen :) Next week, I plan on tackling the upstairs... Since we stayed in all day, I decided Jackson needed some time outside. We packed up the car because Jackson said he wanted to go to the beach. We stopped at Subway and bought dinner and we were on our way.
Sunset as we we are leaving! Absolutely gorgeous, maybe we will make this our Friday adventure each week. It sure allows Jackson to run off some energy :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2011

This St. Patrick's Day night was spent with four wonderful kids who kept me on my toes. From playing with play-doh to eating pasta to bathtime and bedtime, we had a blast. I was able to get some adorable pictures of the kids in their green before the night was over :) Monica's sister, Becky is in town so I volunteered to give them a night out without kids :)
I think someone is ready for a sibling.

Hanging out at the playground

Jackson and I spent the day taking a walk and hanging out at a park. We were going to go to the beach but the rental we have sprung a leaky pipe so we needed to wait while the plumber took care of it. We had a great time because the complex has a wonderful playground that Jackson loved. I really wish our complex would get one like it! Mike is on the board, so he asked for it to be in the budget and soon enough there will be money to get one :)

A day at School

Today, I took Jackson with me to school because I needed to get some planning in before we were back to work. I am working an extra hour after school to tutor which cuts on being able to do things after work before I pick up the little munchkin. Therefore, I took a day to try to get ahead and did some planning, organizing, and photocopying. Jackson was a champ, he even took a 90 minute nap for me. He did a little coloring, playing on the computer, entertaining himself with a sink he can reach and playing on the slide.

Passing the time away from Daddy!

Jackson and I are going to be best buddies for the next couple of days because daddy is away on the mainland. I promise to try to blog each day so that we stay busy and Daddy can see what we are up to. We are going to stay busy so your arrival comes faster!
We dropped Mike off at the airport and decided we could sit in traffic or get a haircut... I opted for a haircut and then dinner. It was a good idea because Jackson loved playing with the choo choo trains and enjoyed dinner and fell asleep on the way home. I started packing his tooth brush in the diaper bag so that when we are out late he can just brush his teeth on the way home and then he usually falls asleep in the car.
One last pic of the fuzzy fro he was growing before the handsome crewcut.
Ta da, the handsome little guy. He is such a little Mike! Jackson was such a good boy getting his hair cut and very polite. Dinner was another story but that is ok :) The next couple of days we are going to work on potty training. Each day he is getting better and better and loves his new underwear selection. We have many now to pick from Diego, Mickey, Cars, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Trains to Dinosaurs. We are all set and hope to make the leap in the next week!!! Wish us luck :)

Jackson and his bedtime.

When Jackson gets ready to go to bed, he always has to shut the door so Kitty/ Papaya doesn't come in. We really should just name her Kitty because it is rare we actually call her Papaya. Anyway it is bath, teeth, books, fan and bedtime. He is obsessed that the door must be closed because he doesn't like Papaya in his bedroom. He will tell her "Kitty, No No" and shut the door. This past week and him being sick, we have allowed him to sleep in our room because it was soothing for him and convenient for us not having to get up every hour. Yesterday, I went to check up on him because he hadn't woke up at all in the evening and this is what I found... If only he knew Kitty was his new buddy in bed :)

Sick...

Jackson is sick. He started coming down with something on Tuesday evening, so I took off on Wednesday. He was feeling better but then it got worse after the tsunami. On Saturday, he came up to me and this is how he looked :( He said, Mommy bandaid fix my nose. We have been using many bandaids lately because they heel ouchies. Poor thing, if only a band aid could fix his sickness. I took him to the doctor and he has an ear ache. He is on meds that he absolutely dislikes... If you hear him screaming it is because it is med time in the Staffaroni house. With that being said, he is feeling much better and we are looking forward to going to the beach this week and hanging out with friends.

The weekly recycling trip to the school

Jackson loves to walk up the hill to the recycle center at Mauka Lani school. We recycle our plastics, cans, and paper there. It has become Jackson and Mike's special walk throughout the week, depending on when we need to recycle. This time Jackson wanted to bring his turtle. In the turtle is his 7 geckos and a tootsie roll bank. It is so cute to see what toddlers become attached too. This turtle has been on many adventures besides the beach :)
Recycling the water jug.
Recycling is so much fun. This picture was right before the turtle dumped out the goods.

Everybody loves playdoh!

Jackson got some really cool playdoh from his Nana for Christmas and I have been kind of waiting for the perfect time to break it out. Makaela came over for a couple of hours and they had so much fun making objects with the playdoh. Wax paper is great to use on your table so it makes it so much easier to clean up. Thank goodness we have a deck because all I had to do was hose it down and we were done :) Jackson's favorite item was the scissors. They will only cut playdoh because they are so dull, thank goodness because he tries to use them on everything he needs to open. Guess he is ready for some children's scissors in his Easter basket.

Another one bites the dust...

We are slowly decreasing our numbers of our Hawaii Family as the years go by. This past weekend we bid farewell to the Ducotes. I have been friends with Lisa for about 8 years. From a cruise, to the Mai Tai bar, to beach days, weddings to children. We have been through a lot together. Rich found an amazing job in Houston, Texas that their family couldn't turn down. We are very excited for them and can't wait to visit them one day. Thank goodness for blogs because it really does keep us in touch. Here are some pictures of our beautiful day at Ko'olina with a fantastic sunset.
